Your registration will be considered according to the written receipt. You thereby undertake to pay the participation fee.

Once we have received your registration, we will send you a confirmation of receipt. Please check that your personal data and booked seminars are correct.

After the registration deadline you will receive

  • Your registration confirmation with details of the event room,
  • your notification of fees and
  • further documents (campus map etc.).

These are due before the start of the seminar. Discounts are granted in accordance with the program-specific conditions. You can transfer the participation fee after the notification of fees has been issued or use the direct debit procedure. Please send us the direct debit authorization form once.

Any chargeback or cancellation fees will be charged to you. For changes after the notification of fees has been issued, we will charge a fee of €30 in accordance with No. 1.6.6 of the State Fee Regulations.

  • Withdrawal must be made in writing (letter, e-mail).
  • If you cancel before the registration deadline, no participation fee will be charged.
  • Cancellations made after the registration deadline will be charged 50% of the participation fee*.
  • Cancellations made less than seven days before the start of the seminar and no-shows will be charged the full participation fee.

The above regulations also apply in the event of illness. A substitute for the registered person is of course possible, provided that the substitute meets the advertised requirements.

For our Certificate of Advanced Studies (CAS), it is not possible for the event participant to make up for a booked event at a later date. However, the organizer may, at its reasonable discretion, allow the event to be made up by agreement in text form in accordance with Section 126b BGB (email is sufficient). This shall not give rise to a claim to catching up.

A minimum number of participants is required for a training event to take place. If this number is not reached, we reserve the right to cancel the event at the registration deadline. We ask for your understanding. In exceptional cases, a change of lecturer or other changes to the course schedule may be necessary. Changes of this kind do not entitle the participant to withdraw or reduce the participation fee.

JGU and its vicarious agents and assistants shall not be liable for material, immaterial or non-material damage. This does not apply in the event of injury to life, limb or health or if the damage was caused by gross negligence or intent on the part of JGU or its vicarious agents or assistants.

Participant data is stored and processed in compliance with the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR). The participant data is stored electronically in the form of name, address of residence or place of work, communication data and, if applicable, bank details and processed within the scope of the purpose of the contractual relationship passing to the participant. It is assured that the participant’s transmitted data will be treated confidentially and stored exclusively for the company’s own purposes. In particular, this data will not be transmitted in any way to unauthorized third parties for commercial purposes.

*) For seminars in the “Studying 50 Plus” and “Advanced education scheme for qualified teachers” programs, 50% of the participation fee, but at least €30 in accordance with No. 1.6.6, will also be charged in the event of withdrawal after the registration deadline.
